The Deputy Chief of Mission, Prasanna Shrivastava, representing the Authorities of India, handed over the 9-tonne aid bundle to the Chief District Officer of Banke, Shravan Kumar Pokhrel. The handover ceremony included the presence of Nepalgunj Mayor Prashant Bista, as confirmed by the Indian Embassy in Nepal.

The consignment of 9 tonnes of aid materials was transported to Nepalgunj by a particular Indian Air Pressure C-130 and comprised important medical and hygiene provides, tents, sleeping baggage and blankets, the assertion added.
