Contribution of previous Parliament constructing to India’s democratic journey unparalleled, says Lok Sabha Speaker

The historic Parliament constructing has made an “unparalleled” contribution to India’s democratic journey, in accordance with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, as collaborative selections for the nation’s welfare had been made.

“Over the past 75 years, it took collective decisions for the welfare of the nation amid agreements and disagreements among various parties, passing laws through parliamentary deliberations that brought about socio-economic changes in the lives of the people,” Birla stated.
Even throughout instances of disaster and adversity, this Home confronted them with unity and dedication, the Lok Sabha Speaker stated.
Noting that Monday is the ultimate day of proceedings on this chamber, Birla stated the contribution of this constructing “to our country’s democratic journey is unparalleled”.
“After this day, Parliament’s activities will take place in a new building. We will enter the new building with new hopes and new aspirations. I believe that our democracy will achieve newer heights in our new parliament building,” he stated.
On the event, he remembered Ganesh Vasudev Mavalankar, the primary Speaker of the Lok Sabha who assumed the place on 15 Might 1952.
“As the first head of the country’s highest democratic institution, he established various parliamentary committees, including the Rules Committee, Special Powers Committee, and the Business Advisory Committee, laying the foundation for the highest traditions within this House,” Birla stated.
To date, 16 distinguished Audio system have graced this chair, every contributing to its illustrious legacy, he stated.
Noting that on this Home, the nation has been led by 15 prime ministers thus far, the Lok Sabha Speaker stated, “They have shaped the destiny and direction of the country through their thoughts and actions.”
