US pledges humanitarian aid worth $100 million for Gaza, West Bank

Following the devastating bombing on Gaza’s Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, US President Joe Biden, who’s at the moment visiting Israel amid the Israel-Hamas battle, pledged humanitarian help for each Gaza and the West Financial institution value USD $100 million.

Noting the wants of individuals residing in Gaza, Biden mentioned, “The people of Gaza need food, water, medicine, shelter. Today, I asked the Israeli cabinet…to agree to the delivery of life-saving humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza…and the aid should go to civilians, not to Hamas.”

Israel has agreed to switch humanitarian support from Egypt to Gaza, the US President added.

Moreover, he confused that if Hamas diverts or steals the help, “it will have demonstrated once again that they have no concern for the welfare of the Palestinian people..and it will stop the international community from being able to provide this aid…”

Because the first day of the strike, Biden assured that his administration has been in fixed communication with Israel’s management.

” We’re going to ensure you have what you might want to shield your individuals, to defend your nation. For many years, we’ve ensured Israel’s qualitative army edge,” he mentioned.

Furthermore, he additionally assured that later this week, “I am going to ask US Congress for unprecedented support package for Israel’s defence. We are going to keep Iron Dome fully supplied…We move US military assets to the region, including positioning the USS Ford carrier strike group in the Eastern Mediterranean, with USS Eisenhower on the way to deter, defer further aggression against Israel and to prevent this conflict from spreading.”

Noting that almost all of Palestinians are usually not Hamas, US President Biden mentioned, “Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people. Hamas uses innocent, innocent families in Gaza as human shields… Palestinian people are suffering greatly as well.”

Condemning the assault on the hospital in Gaza, Biden mentioned that he was outraged and saddened by the big lack of lives that occurred yesterday.

“Based on the information we have seen today, it appears as a result of a rocket fired by a terrorist group in Gaza. The United States unequivocally stands for the protection of civilian life during the conflict…,” he added.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, obtained assurances from Biden earlier within the day concerning the US’ enduring dedication for Israel. In gentle of latest terrorist assaults by Hamas, Joe Biden emphasised the necessity to help Israel because it defends its residents.

“We have asked them (civilians) to move to safer areas. We will continue to work with you Mr President (Biden) to ensure that the minimal requirements are met and we will continue to work together to get our hostages out,” he mentioned.
