In an effort to extend navy preparedness, the Pentagon has ordered the activation of air protection methods “throughout” the West Asia area and notifies different US forces that they could be deployed shortly.
In response to a press release from US Secretary of Protection Lloyd Austin, the actions are a response to “recent escalations by Iran and its proxy forces across the West Asia.”
He claims that “these steps will increase force protection for US forces in the region, bolster regional deterrence efforts, and aid in Israel’s defense.”
Austin didn’t say what number of extra US troopers might be despatched to the world.
“I will continue to assess our force posture requirements in the region and consider deploying additional capabilities as necessary,” he says, including that the strikes observe “detailed discussions” with US President Joe Biden.
