Beginning on October 15, Exterior Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will go to Vietnam and Singapore for a six-day tour to strengthen bilateral cooperation throughout varied sectors.

Jaishankar will go to Vietnam for the primary a part of his journey from October 15 to October 18 as a way to consider the progress made in quite a few sectors and to debate methods to additional strengthen collaboration, the Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) introduced on October 14.

Jaishankar’s journey to the strategically necessary Southeast Asian nations comes lower than three months after India gave the Vietnamese armed forces the missile corvette INS Kirpan as an indication of the rising strategic partnership between the 2 nations and amid shared worries about China’s more and more belligerent behaviour within the South China Sea.
