China’s exports imports fell 6.2 per cent in September as global demand faltered

China’s exports and imports each fell in September from a 12 months earlier, although they contracted at a slower tempo at the same time as international demand remained muted.

Customs knowledge launched Friday confirmed exports for September slid 6.2% to $299.13 billion within the fifth straight month of decline. Imports additionally slid 6.2% to $221.43 billion.

China posted a commerce surplus of $77.71 billion, up from $68.36 billion in August.
