Actions of Hamas ‘do not represent Palestinian people’, says Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas

Palestinian chief Mahmud Abbas stated Sunday that the insurance policies and actions of Hamas “do not represent the Palestinian people”, the information company Wafa reported.

The Palestinian Liberation Organisations (PLO) was the one authentic consultant of the Palestinian folks, he added, throughout talks with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Wafa added.

Based on a Venezuelan Overseas Ministry assertion, Maduro and Abbas mentioned “the terrible situation” within the Gaza Strip following “indiscriminate attacks” by Israel.

Maduro reaffirmed “Venezuela’s unconditional support for the Palestinian cause and its Authority”, and provided 30 tonnes of humanitarian support “for the Palestinian people” to be despatched within the subsequent few days, in response to the assertion.

It added that each leaders agreed to “demand an immediate ceasefire and the establishment of a humanitarian assistance corridor” in addition to the return to “international legality”.
