India’s U15 shuttler Bornil Aakash Changmai overcame Fan Hong Xuan of China within the ultimate to clinch the gold medal within the Badminton Asia U17 and U15 Junior Championships in Chengdu on Sunday.
Bornil received the ultimate 2-19, 21-13 in opposition to the 14-year-old Chinese language in 34 minutes within the boys’ singles ultimate.
The 13-year-old grew to become the second junior badminton participant after Siril Verma in 2013 to bag the highest podium end within the prestigious event.
The shuttler maintained a constant efficiency all by means of the event and defeated compatriot Jagsher Singh Khangurra within the semifinal on Saturday.
In the meantime, Tanvi will compete in opposition to Yataweemin Ketklieng of Thailand within the U-17 ladies’ singles ultimate later as we speak.
