Asian Video games males’s doubles champions Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have slipped to fifth place within the newest BWF world rankings launched on Tuesday. The Indian pair, who had reached the numero uno standing after their Asian Video games triumph, slumped 4 locations after failing to defend their crown on the French Open final week in Rennes.

Satwik and Chirag misplaced 23-25 21-19 19-21 to former world champions Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan within the second spherical. Amongst different high Indian shuttlers, PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, Lakshya Sen, and Kidambi Srikanth all remained static of their present rankings. Sindhu, who had suffered a knee damage throughout her French Open marketing campaign, held on to the tenth spot in girls’s singles after regaining the highest 10 place final week.

In males’s singles, Prannoy, Lakshya and Srikanth are ranked eighth, seventeenth and twenty second, respectively.

In girls’s doubles, India’s high pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand stayed on the 18th place.
