Asian Video games: SFI names Janhvi Choudhary as alternative for suspended swimmer

New Delhi: The Swimming Federation of India (SFI) has added Janhvi Choudhary to the Asian Video games squad as a alternative for the swimmer, who was withdrawn after she was provisionally suspended by the Nationwide Anti-Doping company.

Janhvi will compete within the relay occasion. Her participation within the continental occasion will, nevertheless, depend upon the Sport Ministry’s clearance, a federation supply advised PTI.

The 19-year-old Bengal swimmer specialises in freestyle occasions.

In August, an Asian Video games-bound swimmer, who was a minor, was handed provisional suspension by NADA after she examined optimistic for 19-norandrosterone.

The Asian Video games are scheduled to start on 23 September and can go on until 8 October in Hangzhou, China.
