Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, together with a number of Opposition leaders together with Bahujan Samaj Get together’s Danish Ali, walked out of the Parliament Ethics Committee assembly on Thursday, claiming that the panel posed ‘filthy questions’ to Moitra over ‘cash for query’ cost towards her.

The TMC MP mentioned that the cost is motivated by the animus of advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai after she broke her private relations with him, sources mentioned.

Citing Dehadrai’s submission, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey filed a criticism towards her with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla who referred the matter to the committee.

Moitra has been accused of asking questions, which have been keyed in by means of her parliamentary account, on the behest of businessman Darshan Hiranandani in return for bribes and favours from the Dubai-based scion of a well known enterprise household.

In her remarks to the media, Moitra has admitted that she shared her log-in credentials with Hiranandani, whom she has described as an in depth good friend for a very long time, however has dominated out any pecuniary motive and asserted that the questions have been all the time hers.
