A Supreme Court docket bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SV Bhatti will hear Moitra’s request to revive her Lok Sabha membership. She has accused the parliamentary ethics committee that seemed into cash-for-query allegations towards her and really helpful her expulsion of “breaking every rule”.

The Trinamool chief was accused of taking bribes, together with Rs 2 crore in money and “luxury gift items”, from Darshan Hiranandani, in trade for asking questions crucial of the federal government in parliament.

Moitra has, nonetheless, denied fees she accepted bribes from Hiranandani, who claimed she requested for numerous favours, together with luxurious items, in return for asking sure questions.
