RLD’s Jayant Singh confirms alliance with NDA after Bharat Ratna for grandfather Chaudhary Charan Singh

Jayant Singh-led RLD has a robust base in Uttar Pradesh, particularly within the Jat-dominated area.

With the elections not far away, the BJP needs to strengthen its base within the state to maximise the seats, particularly in western Uttar Pradesh.
