President Droupadi Murmu gives assent to Women’s reservation bill

President Droupadi Murmu Friday gave assent to the Ladies’s Reservation Invoice.

The brand new, formally known as ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’, regulation provides 33 per cent reservation to ladies within the legislature, each within the Parliament and state Assemblies.

Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar signed the invoice, which was offered earlier this month solely, earlier at the moment earlier than it was despatched to President Murmu for her assent.
