Odd-Even car system might be relevant in Delhi for one week from November 13 to November 20.
The choice was taken throughout a high-level emergency assembly convened by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday over deteriorating air high quality within the nationwide capital and its adjoining areas, which is being attributed to stubble burning in neighbouring states in addition to firecrackers.
The minister stated, contemplating that the air pollution is more likely to go up post-Diwali, the Delhi authorities has taken the choice to impose the odd-even rule for vehicles.
“In view of air pollution, the Odd-Even vehicle system will be applicable for one week from 13th to 20th November,” stated Delhi Atmosphere Minister Gopal Rai.
The surroundings minister of Delhi additional stated, “As per the forecast, the wind speed will be 12km/hour on November 7 and if the speed reaches 10 to 12 km/hour, then there is a possibility that the level of pollution accumulated here might disperse.”
“Similarly, the wind speed will be 8-10 km/hour on November 8. It is expected that the speed of wind will increase on November 7 and 8 which will reduce the level of pollution,” Rai added.
