NIA court orders confiscation of land of designated terrorist Lakhbir Singh in Punjab’s Moga

An NIA court docket in Mohali has ordered the confiscation of land belonging to designated terrorist and Pakistan-based self-styled chief of the Khalistan Liberation Entrance Lakhbir Singh alias Rode in Punjab’s Moga district, an official spokesperson stated on Wednesday.

The land belonging to Singh is positioned in village Kothe Gurupura (Rode).

The court docket order got here in a case registered by the Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) on January 1, 2021 beneath numerous sections of the UAPA, Indian Penal Code and the Narcotic Medicine and Psychotropic Substances Act.

The court docket ordered the confiscation of the land beneath Part 33(5) of the Illegal Actions (Prevention) Act, beneath which a decide can confiscate moveable and immoveable property of a proclaimed offender concerned in critical crimes.
