Newborn declared dead by doctors in Assam’s Silchar comes alive seconds before cremation

“We allowed them to perform the delivery and they said my wife gave birth to a stillborn. On Wednesday morning, the hospital authorities handed over the child in a packet with a death certificate,” Das claimed.

When the relations reached the crematorium to conduct the final rites and opened the packet, the kid started to cry.

“We took the baby to the hospital where he is under treatment,” Das added.

The relations, who lodged a criticism towards the hospital and a physician, claimed that hospital employees had stored the new child inside a packet for greater than eight hours, with out even correctly inspecting whether or not he was alive.

In the meantime, the hospital authorities stated they stored the child below statement for eight hours earlier than declaring it lifeless.

“We examined the baby boy several times and it was not responding. We declared the child dead after following all necessary process and then handed him over to the family. There was no wrong intention on our part,” a hospital spokesperson stated.
