The Indian Military on Sunday paid tribute to Agniveer Gawate Akshay Laxman, an operator who misplaced his life within the line of obligation amid the treacherous terrains of the Siachen glacier.
The Indian Military’s Hearth and Fury Corps supplied its deepest condolences to the bereaved household.
“Quartered in snow silent to remain, when the bugle calls, they shall rise and march again. All ranks of Fire and Fury Corps salute the supreme sacrifice of Agniveer (Operator) Gawate Akshay Laxman, in the line of duty, in the unforgiving heights of Siachen, and offer deepest condolences to the family,” the Hearth and Fury Corps posted on X.
The Indian Military in a message on social media submit mentioned it stands agency with the bereaved household on this hour of grief.
“General Manoj Pande COAS and All Ranks of the Indian Army salute the supreme sacrifice of Agniveer (Operator) Gawate Akshay Laxman, in the line of duty, in the unforgiving heights of Siachen. The Indian Army stands firm with the bereaved family in this hour of grief,” the Indian Military mentioned in a message on its official account on X.
Earlier in June, one Military jawan died whereas three troopers sustained accidents in a fireplace accident within the Siachen glacier, as per the Military.
An Military spokesperson mentioned that Regiment Medical Officer Capt Anshuman Singh succumbed to critical burn accidents throughout the unlucky incident.
Whereas three different personnel suffered smoke inhalation and second-degree burns, the officers added.
Siachen Glacier is called the highest-altitude battle website on this planet and is located close to the Indo-Pak Line of Management. It’s the largest glacier in India and the second-largest on this planet. It’s the highest battleground on earth.
