India invites Brazilian companies to become part of its growing supply chain

Barthwal was there for the sixth assembly of the India-Brazil Commerce Monitoring Mechanism (TMM). Each side extensively mentioned issues associated to bilateral commerce and outlined a roadmap for its additional enhancement, the commerce ministry mentioned.

The secretary “invited Brazilian industries to be part of the growing supply chain,” it mentioned.

Barthwal was accompanied by a delegation of 20 enterprise leaders. “The visit was happening in the backdrop of the sharp growth in the bilateral trade which had doubled over the last two years reaching USD 16 billion,” it mentioned, including the 2 sides explored new alternatives for selling commerce.

The secretary additionally held conferences with Brazilian firms which have invested in India. This assembly additionally included discussions on new commerce and funding alternatives.

Barthwal interacted with representatives from main MICE (Conferences, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) firms in Brazil. On October 4, he co-chaired the assembly with Secretary of International Commerce for the Federative Republic of Brazil Tatiana Lacerda Prazeres in Brasilia.
