The federal government on Wednesday mentioned it has permitted exports of 10,34,800 tonnes of non-basmati white rice to seven nations, together with Nepal, Cameroon and Malaysia.
The export is permitted by way of Nationwide Cooperative Exports Restricted (NCEL), the Directorate Common of Overseas Commerce (DGFT) mentioned in a notification.
Although exports of non-basmati white rice had been banned on July 20 to spice up home provide, exports are allowed on the premise of permission granted by the federal government to sure nations to fulfill their meals safety wants and on request.
