IAF conducts joint air drills with France, UAE

The Indian Air Pressure (IAF) performed ‘Exercise Desert Knight’ together with the French Air and House Pressure (FASF) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Pressure.

Whereas the French participation included the Rafale fighter plane and a multi-role tanker Transport, the UAE Air Pressure fielded the F-16, the Ministry of Defence stated in an announcement, including that these plane operated from the Al Dhafra air base within the UAE. The IAF contingent comprised of Su-30 MKI, MiG-29, Jaguar, AWACS, C-130-J and Air to Air Refueller plane.

The train in Indian FIR was performed over the Arabian Sea, with IAF plane working from bases inside India.

The principle focus of Train Desert Knight was on enhancing synergy and interoperability between the three Air Forces. The interactions in the course of the train facilitated the trade of operational data, experiences and finest practices among the many members. Such workout routines are indicative of the rising diplomatic and navy interactions within the area, other than showcasing the prowess of the IAF.
