Centre upgrades security cover of EAM Jaishankar from ‘Y’ category to ‘Z’

The safety cowl of Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has been upgraded from the ‘Y’ class to ‘Z’, official sources mentioned on Thursday.

The Union residence ministry has requested the Central Reserve Police Drive (CRPF) to take cost of his safety, at the moment supplied by the Delhi Police, they mentioned.

Jaishankar, 68, was being guarded by an armed crew of the Delhi Police underneath the ‘Y’ class safety cowl.
