A Dalit girl in Bihar was assaulted and allegedly stripped bare and likewise urinated upon for refusing to pay further curiosity on a mortgage her husband had taken from a village strongman, stated police on Monday.
Confirming the incident, Syed Imran Masood, SP Metropolis, Patna, stated the incident occurred on Saturday evening beneath the jurisdiction of Khusrupur Police Station.

“An incident has come to light in which a woman belonging to Scheduled Caste has been beaten up, under Khusrupur PS limits… As soon as we got the information, we registered an FIR…,” stated Masood.
He stated that the accused is on the run and the raids are underway to nab the offender.
“The accused is absconding… We are raiding all the possible locations of the accused. As per the information till now, there has been some dispute between the two sides over money, due to which the accused beat up the woman,” added the SP
He stated that the girl has additionally alleged that she was stripped and urinated upon by the accused.
“As per the investigation till now, a dispute over money and a woman being beaten up is confirmed. We are investigating the rest of the allegations. Further probe is underway,” stated Masood.
Based on an NDTV report, citing police, the girl’s husband had borrowed Rs 1,500 from one Pramod Singh in Mosimpur village of Patna district.
The couple had repaid the entire quantity, nevertheless, Singh had been demanding further curiosity.
When the couple refused, Singh, his son and their aides assaulted her and stripped her bare, added the report.
In her criticism, the girl alleged that Pramod, his son Anshu and 4 different males compelled her to come back together with them on Saturday evening when she was at her dwelling.
They thrashed her with sticks and stripped her bare at an remoted place within the village, officers stated. Singh then requested Anshu to urinate in her mouth, officers stated.
