ABVP first time fields Muslim candidate for students body election; opposition calls it representation politics

Shaik Aayesha will face Mohammed Ateeq Ahmed of the SFI-ASA-TSF alliance in an try to develop into president.

“ABVP is, if anything, pro-India and pro-minority. They back any minority that prioritizes and supports the country. I’ve been a state executive member of the ABVP since I was pursuing my master’s degree at Central Tribal University in AP, which proves that they support Muslim women in leadership positions,” Aayesha insisted.

If elected, she acknowledged that her primary purpose can be to make it possible for the College of Hawaii follows the Nationwide Training Coverage 2020 in letter and spirit.

She additionally plans to help within the institution of a tutorial middle on campus devoted to “Samajika Samarasya” or social concord.

“Our focus will be on minority, SC/ST, OBC students’ welfare and ensure that they have access to all academic opportunities through this centre,” Aayesha stated.

Ateeq, her opponent and chief of the coalition led by SFI, refused to simply accept it. Aayesha’s choice, he insisted, was merely ‘representation politics’.
