‘Can’t please everyone’: Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘golden rule’ for criticism over Bawaal

Celebrated filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is understood for again to again hits. From Aamir Khan starrer Dangal to Chhichhore and Tarla, the director has been related to movies that garnered a lot reward from the viewers.

Nevertheless, his movie Bawaal opened to combined critiques. The Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer was launched on OTT in July this 12 months. Now, in an interview with India Right this moment, Nitesh Tiwari has opened up in regards to the criticisms he obtained over Bawaal’s plot. The director revealed how he takes suggestions and that one can’t please everybody. “The golden rule we follow is we can’t please everyone,” he mentioned.

Taking about suggestions, Nitesh Tiwari famous that it is rather essential. “Most of the time, I write with my writer friends, but everybody is there to give feedback. I normally take feedback from people who can be blunt to me, because it is easy to say nice things,” he added.

The filmmaker went on so as to add that he’s keen on constructive suggestions. “Yes, so you may succeed sometimes and sometimes not, but that’s a part and parcel of this job,” Tiwari said.

When requested about the way it was to proceed to a different movie following backlash obtained over Bawaal, the filmmaker mentioned, “You have to take it in the right spirit and understand the context and the place the person is coming from. If that makes sense to you, you are at peace with that person and if it doesn’t make sense to you, it shouldn’t bother you. It is that simple.”

Nitesh Tiwari has made a comeback as a author with the Disney+ Hotstar movie, Tum Se Na Ho Payega. The flick stars Paatal Lok-famed Ishwak Singh within the lead position and can premier on 29 September.

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, Bawaal has been written by the directed himself and others particularly Piyush Gupta, Nikhil Mehrotra and Shreyas Jain. The movie revolves round a college instructor who falls for a girl with epilepsy. It was bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala and Ashwin Iyer Tiwari.
