PM Modi slams Udhayanidhi Stalin

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi elaborated on the controversy surrounding the Sanatan Dharma remark made by Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin of Tamil Nadu. In his speech to a large crowd in Bina, Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi claimed that the INDIA alliance has a “hidden agenda” to undermine and eradicate Sanatana Dharma tradition.

PM Narendra Modi launched a scathing assault on the opposition coalition, the Indian Nationwide Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), referring to it as a “INDI alliance” that “does not have a leader”.

“At a time when Bharat is emerging as a world leader at global forums, some parties are trying to divide the country and its people. These people came together to form an ‘INDI’ alliance. Some people are calling it a ‘ghamndiya (arrogant) alliance’. They don’t have a leader yet and there is a lot of suspense on who would lead them going into the Lok Sabha elections next year. They are working with a hidden agenda, which is to attack India’s culture,” PM Modi stated.

The Opposition INDIA bloc allegedly adopted a decision to “end the Sanatana culture” within the nation throughout its third assembly, PM Modi alleged.

“This INDI-Alliance adopted a resolution to end our ‘Sanatana’ culture. They are bent on destroying the ideologies, cultures and traditions that have kept the country and our people together for centuries,” the prime minister stated.

Just a few days previous to PM Modi’s criticism of the opposition, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, had declared that Sanatana Dharma is incompatible with the concept of social justice and needs to be “eliminated.”

“Sanatana is like malaria and dengue and so it must be eradicated and not opposed,” Udhayanidhi Stalin had stated.

After laying the groundwork for a number of initiatives totaling greater than 50,700 crores, together with the ‘Petrochemical Complex’ at Bina Refinery and ten main industrial initiatives round Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi addressed the gathering.

He laid the cornerstone for 10 initiatives, together with a ‘Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone’ within the Narmadapuram district, two IT parks in Indore, a Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam, and 6 new industrial areas throughout the state.
